Stainless Steel 25/14 Channel
25/14 channel is used to tie brickwork to steel studding. This is achieved by fixing self drill, self tap screws which pass through the channel and insulation, inot the steel studding.
Once installed, wall ties can be slotted into the channel at any point, in line with the bed joints of the outer leaf of brickwork.
In addition to the channel, you will need:
25/14 wall ties (available in various lengths)
25/14 channel should be fixed to the steel studwork at 450mm vertical centres. The channel has closely positioned pre-punched holes along its length, for convenient fixing.
The screws can be fixed through insulation with a thickness up to 70mm.
Stainless steel screwa are recommended and should be fixed using a driver with a speed of about 1800rpm.
